The
Buffalo Primary School was alive with the sounds of children laughing and
playing
on Tuesday 6th April. This was, of course, the day of the Waratah
Rudolf Steiner Group Easter celebration and craft day. Thirty-three children
aged from young babies to eleven years came along to the now ‘unused’
Buffalo Primary School, with their parents and enjoyed the many crafts and games
that were on offer. The children first baked their own sweet Easter bread, they
then used beautiful hand-dyed fleece to make their own piece of felt. Many of
these will be sewn into a pouch that will hold the freshly dyed eggs they all
took home with them. In between all of the crafty activity, the children enjoyed
a wonderful lunch of fruits, muffins, and of course the beautiful fresh bread
they had made. It was wonderful to see the children play lots of games and fill
the usually silent playground with fun and excitement.
Though many helped on
the day, a special thanks to Kathleen who battled on despite her voice deciding
to depart halfway through the day.
