Scenery for Virtual Sailor - Pictures of work so far


	All of the models pictured here are original 3D Models created by myself, with free 3D modeling software called ‘Anim8or’ ( see the ‘Useful links’ page for details ) for use with ‘Virtual Sailor’


	Please note: I have constructed the basic shapes only of the Harbours / Marinas / Jetties ( textures and buildings with further details to come later ) - I have Constructed the basic shapes for the Bridges also ( most are extremely general in design so far - textures and other details will come later ) - The Lighthouses are essentially complete.




		The Narrows Bridges Original, with newer duplicate behind ( looking west from the Swan River ).




		Barrack Street Jetty Complex Perth CBD to be modeled on slope behind later.




		Fremantle Harbour Fishing Boat Harbour on the right - The Canning River branches to the right from The Swan River in the middle distance.




	Fremantle Harbour Entrance South Mole lighthouse in foreground - North Mole Lighthouse behind ( exact Duplicate of South Mole Lighthouse except for red colour and matching red light ).




	Mandurah Harbour in foreground - town centre on land at back of bay behind - right half and back is mostly canal based residential areas.




	Rottnest Island Ferry jetty to left - Bathurst Point Lighthouse to right - Main Rottnest Lighthouse in distance.




		Woodman Point lighthouse For the OuterHarbour industral Harbours and jetties - NOTE: there are 2 lamp windows and the land side is natural stone while the seaward side is white stone.




	Narrows Bridge with updated road ( can now see dashed or solid lines between lanes ), and rail textures ( can now see individual sleepers ). I have also placed the concrete barriers ( concrete barrier textures replace original railings textures ), between the main road and bus lanes.




		The Causeway This bridge has individual iron girders under each span, and the road even has double white lines down the middle. The bridge spans are higher than in real life to allow many kinds of vessel to navigate underneath.




	Windan Bridge Looking towards theCity CBD location ( has two seperate bridges, one for road, the other for rail, with undeneath pedestrian access on each ). Has a single concrete barrier up the middle of the road, and pedestrian access with railings underneath.


	This is the Barrack St. Jetty Complex so far The upper 2 pictures show the jetty models in Virtual Sailor 7, and an unfinished building. The lower pictures show the various buildings The unfinished ones will be situated on the two smaller base areas, while the other group of buildings will be situated on the larger base area to the side of the main jetties.




	Satellite map ( from Google Earth ) This shows the satellite view of the Perth WA Metropolitan Area ( please compare with the Scenery object location map - which includes the terrain of the actual scenery )




		Scenery object location map Showing the locations of scenery objects ( currently 38 - including 5 Lighthouses ( with working lights ) - 16 Harbours / Marinas / Jetties - 12 navigable Bridges in the Swan / Canning River - 1 navigable Bridge to Garden Island - 18 more navigable Bridges and many navigable Canals as part of the Mandurah Harbour object.

Barrack Street Jetty Complex ( unfinished )
This is an example of what the Scenery looks like with the more natural land textures applied ( these are the only buildings ( other than the 5 working lighthouses) in the scenery.

The scenery has Auto Refueling ( 7 locations ), and radio text messages for all ports, jetty’s, and marinas, 3 bridges are complete with all details ( the Narrows
Bridge, The Causeway, and the Windan Bridge - these are all in the area near the Barrack Street Jetty ).

There are basic models for all the other Harbours, Marinas, and Jetty’s, plus road bridges throughout the scenery ( no textures ), please refer to previous pictures for details.

Perth Metropolitan Area Scenery ready for download
It is with great regret that due to ongoing health problems ( including Bipolar Depression ) that have not improved as much as I had hoped, I will be unable to finish this scenery as intended, so I have made what I have done so far available for download, please feel free to use it ( or any parts of it ) as you wish.
I will be making some improvements as soon as possible to the Barrack Street Jetty area and Fremantle Areas.
