We've been invited to play the next Jager Hotshots at the Greyhound Hotel on Friday 16th September. The Last Hotshots gig at the Evelyn was a huge success with about 300 people attending. This is the first ever Hot Shots gig at the Greyhound so it will be a massive night!. Also playing the night will be Basil, nevereleven and Collusion.

It's been a busy month in Cloud City....yes it's hard to belive all of the events below have taken place in the last few weeks, but it's true. We think a few thank-yous are in order!
- Most importantly thanks to everyone who's been coming down and checking us out live at the gigs we've been playing this month - you've been awesome.
- Thanks to Neil Wedd amd the Jager Uprising crew for the gig at the Greyhound last night. For those of you who missed it, you can find a review here or here for a direct link. It'll also be printed in next week's Inpress so keep your eye's peeled.
- Thanks to the Sandy Battle of the Bands and Guitars Plus in Sandringham for the $250 worth of guitar set-ups. We'll be down soon to claim our prize fellas.
- While it's not directly connected to the band, we have to say well done to Sarah for her extraordinary win at the $5000 Karaoke Idol challenge. Sarah entered the comp at the insistence of some good mates and after a series of heats and finals, ended up taking 1st prize home. Not bad for someone who's never had a formal singing lesson! Sarah's used part of the winnings to buy herself a new amp, quad box and some pedals. Thanks to BPM Entertainment and the judges (Brian Mannix and finalists from Channel 9's Starstruck series) for the prize!

Thanks to each and every one of you that came to the Union. We had a great night and hope you did too. Special mention to the John from the Matt Winter Band who made the trip from Adelaide for the second time that week to play the gig!
There's quite a bit going on this month, check out the gigs above, there's something there for everyone. We're really excitied to be playing at the Rob Roy with Supercede and Lelu, it'll be a fantastic night of music in one of Melbourne's best venues. Plus it's a chance for those of you folks north of the river to check out some of our tunes live! We're also excited to be playing the Jager Uprising at the Greyhound. The Jager gig will get reviewed in Inpress, so your support would be much appreciated!

Cloud City gigs have been quite eventful of late. Who can forget....the appreciative nude punter at the Espy, X-Factor filming at Albert Park and prominent Aussie musos in attendance at the Kashmir Nights Ding Dong gig? If you haven't had a chance to check out the band live yet, or experience any of the above, then come to the next Cloud City gig at Melbourne's best new live music venue, The Union, on Saturday 21st May. We'll be playing with Zoophyte, The Matt Winter Band (from Adelaide) and Set Fire. Zoophyte packed out the Gershwin room (that eqates to around 700 people) at their CD launch last month, and their music can be heard on RRR and JJJ. Matt Winter and his band are coming all the way from Adelaide, and Set Fire (featuring members of Allan's old band Virify) are going to kick off the evening. It should be an awesome night of quality original music.
