Witnesses on the marriage certificate were Samuel Wilson & Mary Ann Wilso
n. Margaret Jamieson couldn't write.
Witnesses for their marriage were Samuel Wilson , Mary Ann Nelson? (hand w
riting hard to distinguish on the certificate). Sometime early 1862 they m
oved to Ballarat , Victoria. David was listed as living in Bourke Stre
et , East Melbourne at the time of marriage.
There is a son David Williams.............. w
hich my Uncle & his cousins tell me exists & I have a photo of him arou
nd the 1930's......the problem is he wasn't part of David & Margarets fami
ly that I have uncovered.........however , when Margaret died , David rema
rried a Caroline Barrington.......I believe he was from this marriage....
.............don't know if he was Davids or not...can't seem to find a rec
ord yet. So the search goes on......................yet again. Bit mo
re to this : Found marriage certificate to Caroline Barrington dated Octob
er 18th 1866 on it David is listed as a widow with 3 children. His a
ge is listed as 28 which is 2 yrs different to his first marriage. I ha
ve his first wifes death certificate dated 1866 but on 2nd MC has writt
en widow from 1865.
In 1862 Davids father was a farmer on 1st marriage certificate now he
's a miner.
Margaret was listed as living with friends in Spencer Street , Melbour
ne , Vic. Margarets death was the same year as her last child. I know h
ow she died but not listed here. If interested I'll tell family members.
William may be the unknown I have entered in this family group , my Unc
le recalls the name , so its possible he was the preacher that went to Ame
rica.
