Outside,
One
of those bright winter days,
So
clear it hurts your nose to breathe.
Inside,
I
rest warmed by my cats.
They
follow my huge belly as I turn,
as
sunflowers chase the sun.
Everywhere,
The
firsts in this world await you,
First
breath, first touch of my skin, milk from my breast.
The
sun, your mother and your father -- always have loved you.
