DrumDance play traditional music and original pieces inspired by the folk music from the Middle East and North Africa in particular those wonderfull recordings made by Aisha Ali in the 70's- Music of the Ghwazee and The Fellahin as well as Jajouka.
Drums used include the Egyptian tabla, African djembe, tabla beledi and frame drums. Other instruments that we use include the flute, gimbri, tiktiri, mizmar and harmonium.
